what's new

Its been a while. The only thing that is new on our schedule is that Leighton had to go see Dr. Larsen. For those of you who don't know who this is this is my moms, dads, uncle, grandma Searles and my foot doctor. We are on a first name bases with him seeing how we go so often. Well Leighton had been walking funny, and then her came up to me and said "mom there is something on my foot and it hurts" as I looked at his foot I was able to see a marble sized lump about 2 inches under his ankle. So I called Clark and he told me to bring him in. It took us about a week to get him in but for that week Leighton paniced he was afraid taht they would have to do surgery. I kept telling him that if that was something that needed to happen there was a lot of steps to get to that point it wasn't a first thing. Well we got there this morning and Clark said that it was from extra bones in the foot that about 30% of the population has and that it can be fixed with orthotics. It was irritated because of the cleets worn for baseball and him always favoring that foot. However Clark wanted to take x-rays just to be sure. Well he came in and said there is good news and bad. To this I asked what the good was and he said it was just like he thought just some extra bones that were inflamed. So I then asked what the bad was and Clark responded that he had feet like me and my mom. All and all he is going to be as difficult as I am when it comes down to medical stuff :(

Wow we're busy

Leighton had his opening ceremonies for baseball this week end. We got to meet all the teams and their coaches. We also got the oppertunity to meet a pro-baseball player that started out in the Kearns baseball. Turns out that there are 7 different pro-baseball players that have come from Utah and the Kearns area. Then yesterday Leighton had his first baseball game. They lost however they were winning until the last inning. Leighton was so much fun to watch he was worried about hitting the ball at the wrong time so he didn't swing at all. However the first time he was up to bat this came in handy because he got four balls so he got to walk to first base. The second time he wasn't so lucky. He got to play the position that he wanted. When the coach asked them what they wanted to play Leighton's response was out field. He didn't want to be pitcher or catcher he wanted to be in the out field.
Xia is doing soccer and has had her first game as well. In her league they don't keep score its more to learn the sport and have fun. She could careless about the ball when she was on the field all she wanted to do was to talk to the other players at least she ran with the ball so she could talk while she ran.
Saturdays are going to be busy here for the next little bit because Xia's games are always at 10:30 am and Leighton has games on Saturday either at 8 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am, or 3 pm. the later ones aren't going to be so hard to get to its the early ones so Jake and I might be tag teaming it this time.
That's all that's been happening other then work and school for me oh and being the taxi driver to get Leighton to games Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Sat, Xia to soccer Tue, and Sat. That makes Mon, Tues, Wed,and Thrus I leave the house at 7 in the morning and get home at 7 at night. I still don't know how parents do this with more then two kids.
